Thinking…again.

Hey…fourth day in a row…I think I may be on a roll!

I think the reason for that is this is an excuse to not be working on a paper…oops.

Anyways, I wonder what causes people to change.

We all change. Humans are a dynamic species. I am not quite sure what would happen if we didn’t change.

Some change a lot…some only a bit.

Nevertheless, we are all affected by the different contacts we have everyday, to varying degrees.

Are these contacts what changes us? Something else? A combination? I don’t know.

And do we realize we are changing? Is it incremental, or does it happen suddenly? Are there certain events that correlate with each? Again, I don’t know.

One thing I do know, the more the learn, the less knowledgeable you feel. I am pretty sure I understand why that is. For every bit of information you learn, new questions arise.

When I was about 17 or 18, I felt the smartest I have been in my life. Did I know more…HELL NO!!!! But I didn’t have as many questions as I do know. About everything.

A PhD program just primes you to ask even more questions. I wonder how unknowledgeable I’ll feel by the time I graduate. I may be a pure-bred dumb ass by then.

Well, it is getting late, and this dumb-ass needs to get some sleep.

In four more years, it will be Dr. Dumb-ass to you!
