This has been a quiet weekend… kind of on the lonely side. George had to stay in South Bend for the weekend to do some work… this coming week is his spring break, so he’ll be here Monday afternoon. I look forward to that.
Other than that, I have been doing more reading, and am working on a paper now…and this is my distraction. Once I am done with this, I’ll get back to the paper.
The spare bedroom has been ripped apart, and the dehumidifier has been on for almost a week (my electric bill next month is going to be through the roof!). The rug wasn’t drying, so they ripped it up to take out the padding. The rug was left behind to dry, and I guess they will be back sometime soon (today possibly?) to replace the padding and re-stretch the rug. Meanwhile, my place is kind of a mess. But more importantly, with all the cool air blowing around in that room, the rest of the house is cool, and the heat keeps kicking on at 62 degrees (the setting for the living room). The rest of the place is even cooler. I am looking forward to being warm again!
As you can tell, I am not feeling like my normal up-beat self… just want things back to how they were – heat in the house, furniture and stuff in the appropriate rooms, and George here on weekends. The homework is the one staple of normality right now, so let me get back to it.
