I had a wonderful lunch with Leah from the Nonprofit Center of NEFL today at Olio in downtown Jacksonville. Great food and wonderful conversation… about local nonprofits of course! Jacksonville has a vibrant nonprofit community and I love learning more about them every day. One of the topics that came up over lunch was how nonprofits use social media. Actually, it came up a couple times. Specifically that adopting social media and utilizing it effectively can be a daunting endeavor. That made me think of a workshop that I did last year at UNF’s Nonprofit Management Conference where I walked through different social media tools and the importance of their use with mission alignment.
