Community: Live. Work. Play.

My focus is and always has been on how we can create better communities, places where we want to live, work, and play. One way to achieve this is through ensuring that public and nonprofit organizations are operating at their maximum capacity.

Public and nonprofit organizations, when run well, promote a vibrant, healthy community for people to live their everyday lives. My goal is to move public and nonprofit organizations into the realm of operating well – be it through strategic planning, board development, executive coaching, stakeholder involvement, or motivational speaking. Together, we will enhance your organization’s position and role in the community.

Consulting

I work with public and nonprofit organizations to help them reach their full potential, either one-one-one or through workshops and group sessions. I am also a Community Coach for the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, a service that is available to its members.

Research

I continually work to uncover better techniques that organizations can use to improve their performance. This is accomplished through riggorous research, peer-reviewed publications, and national presentations.

Teaching

I have the opportunity to share my passion of public and nonprofit management by teaching graduate students in the Nonprofit Graduate Certificate program and the Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program at the University of North Florida on how they, too, can make a difference in their community.
